The "A SHAHID Foundation" started its actions with the Israeli invasion to Lebanon in 1982
Its major aim was to fight the difficult social situations encountered by the families who had lost one or more members during the war, providing them with a financial assistance
Today, this Foundation offers to these families a comprehensive assistance as follow 

Cultural assistance
The foundation provides educational and cultural programs to the children and their parents. The aim is to help them overcoming life obstacles 

Educational support
The foundation takes special interest in the educational lives of the martyr's children supporting them all through their scholarship from the first grades up to the highest one


Healthcare assistance
The foundation helps providing a comprehensive medical coverage for all the members of the  familyhealthcare assistance, medications
 

Social assistance
The foundation also provides an assistance to the families in their daily needs. A regular monthly contribution is allocated to each family, as well as special financial aid when needed

The general sponsorship
This monthly sponsorship aims to cover the living, healthcare, educational and entertainment burdens of the martyr's children through the financial support which he or she receives from the sponsor. The funds are distributed according to the children needs and priorities
 

Educational sponsorship
Used to cover the cost of university or technical studies

General donation
This is a general donation which is aimed to cover the cost of various needs of the martyr's family
